Ingredients

Directions

This famous Italian sandwich has gained popularity all over the world, and for good reason, because it is very convenient, it can be taken with you in a lunchbox for a snack.
You can take whole wheat or regular ciabatta, but any other bread will also work, for example, rolls or mini baguettes. It is preferable to use fresh and soft ciabatta. If you have yesterday’s bread, we recommend sprinkling it with water and putting it in an oven heated to 356 °F (180°C) for 7-10 minutes – it will be like freshly baked again.
You can use any sauce you like on this sandwich, like avocado creme sauce, sauce ranch, 1000 island, or even guacamole. It is needed to make a juicy filling. Instead of mozzarella, you can use cheddar.
In season, it is better to use fresh basil leaves, and in winter, you can take pesto sauce.

Steps

1
Done

1. Cut ciabatta in half lengthwise. If desired, grease the cuts with a thin layer of butter and fry in a pan for 2 minutes.
2. Cut the tomatoes and mozzarella or cheddar into thin slices. Wash and dry the salad leaves well, if desired, tear them arbitrarily with your hands.
3. Grease the cuts with ciabatta avocado cream sauce. Place slices of ham, cheese, tomatoes, basil leaves or pesto sauce, pickled peppers, and salad greens on the bottom. Sprinkle with grated parmesan, cover with the other half.
4. If desired, place under the grill for 3 minutes to warm up the cheese inside. Cut into portions.
