1. Heat the oven to 392 °F (200 C). Cut medium-sized eggplants in half lengthwise. Make deep cross-shaped incisions with a knife without damaging the skin.
2. Chop the garlic very finely, mix with oil, salt, pepper and dry basil. Thoroughly rub the eggplants with this mixture and put on a sheet
